Fuel and tires are the two largest operating expenses in any commercial hauling operation. Commercial vehicles go through tires pretty quickly, and that is, of course, how tire expenses quickly add up to become such a big part of operating costs. That's why commercial tire retreading is such a popular option for fleets. Only select, structurally-intact tire casings are used for retreads. The worn tread is removed by buffing, and the new tread surface is bonded to the tire with heat and adhesives, much like the manufacture of a new tire.
In many cases, truck tires are retreaded three times or more...a tire that started out at steer axle duty might be retreaded and moved back to the drive axle, and retreaded again and moved back to a trailer axle. We work with you to ensure the retreaded tire meets your specifications for features and safety. Why continue to spend money on new tires or repairs on worn tires?
